JAGDISH TEMPLE
Temple dedicated to Jagannath, avatar of the god Vishnu, an example of Indo-Aryan architecture with decorations carved directly into the stone
This temple is dedicated to Jagannath, avatar of the god Vishnu, one of the most venerated gods in North India. Built in 1662 by maharana Jagat Singh I, it is an example of Indo-Aryan architecture, with decorations carved into the stone. In the middle, the main temple is dedicated to Vishnu, while in the corners, the four smaller shrines are dedicated to the goddess Surya, Durga Devi, Shiva and Ganesh. At the foot of the main temple, you can see a stone worn away by the hands of the faithful. It is believed to heal those who touch it.
