The municipality competes with the Udaipur maharana by offering boat tours on Lake Pichola. Departure is from the south of the royal estate. The boat tour is less expensive than that offered by the maharana. However, you cannot disembark on the island of Jagmanddir, which is privately owned... by the maharana of Udaipur. The boat trip takes around 20 minutes and gives you a bird's-eye view of the palaces lining the lake.
