DURAG NIWAS GUESTHOUSE
If you want to stay away from the city centre, come here. A cheap, clean, family-run establishment held by a rajput family for four generations. The rooms, even the cheapest, are tastefully decorated. They are spread around an inner courtyard where birds twitter in a aviary. Gay couples are welcome. Very considerate, the boss systematically presents a complete sheet with maps and information about the city. Informal cooking courses are organised at the request of clients, as well as village visits. The family also takes care of an NGO, Sambhali Trust, which supports untouchable women.
