JASWANT THADA
Cenotaph on the ascent to Mehrangarh Fort honoring the memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, offering a fine view of the fort.
On the way up to Mehrangarh Fort, this white marble cenotaph honors the memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, who was cremated here in the late 19th century. Three other smaller cenotaphs surround it, one of which is dedicated to a peacock that is said to have thrown itself into the cremation pyre. This large monument resembles a palace with its openwork marble screens, thin as lace. Inside, portraits of Rathorian princes hang, some of them dating back to the 13th century. From here, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the fort.

A jumeler impérativement avec la visite de la forteresse. Beaucoup moins visité que la forteresse.
