LODURVA JAIN TEMPLE
Temple housing a silver-leaf-covered statue of Parshvanath, a carved arch, and surrounded by 4 small shrines
A visit to the Lodurva temple is often part of a tour including Bada Bagh and Amar Sagar Lake. The main temple is dedicated to Parshvanath, the 23rd Jain tirthankar. Preceded by a carved arch(torana), and surrounded by four other small shrines, it houses a statue of the saint covered with silver leaves. The shrines have preserved beautiful original paintings, especially inside the domes. You will notice a metal tree above the shrine. It was "planted" there to show the locals what it could look like.
