Dromedary breeding research center with nearly 300 animals of the 3 breeds present in the country, a must-see
This research center on camel breeding opened in 1984 and has nearly 300 animals, including the three breeds present in India. The robust Bikaner camels, with their abundant hair, are mainly used as draft animals. The Jaisalmer camels, lighter and slimmer, are faster. And finally, those from Gujarat have a darker coat. The farm experiments with crossbreeding and gives advice to local breeders.
