HUTHEESING JAIN TEMPLE
Jain temple in white marble, built in 1848 and dedicated to Dharmanath, with chiselled sculptures and the Swaminarayan temple.
This imposing Jain temple of white marble is worth a visit. Built in 1848, it is dedicated to Dharmanath, the 15th tirthankara, and gives a small taste of what awaits you in Palitana or Mount Abu in Rajasthan. The finely carved sculptures are worth a look. The open windows and doors give it a haveli feel. The Aarti ritual is performed every morning at 8 am. Also worth seeing is the Swaminarayan temple, in the meanders of the old city. It is a beautiful carved wooden haveli , surrounded by a courtyard, dating from 1850.
