Statue of one of the leaders of the Indian Independence Movement, 182 meters high and with an accessible top.
India is home to the world's tallest staue, the Statue of Unity, which rises to a height of 182 metres. It stands on the border between the states of Gujarat and Maharashtra. Inaugurated on October 31, 2018, it is the work of sculptor Ram V. Sutar and represents Vallabhbhai Patel, one of the leaders of the Indian Independence Movement. A visit to this impressive structure includes a museum at the foot of the statue (the viewing gallery), but it is also possible to climb to the top with an elevator to enjoy a unique panorama of the surrounding area.
