NILAMBAG PALACE
Hotel in a palace belonging to the Gohil dynasty, with decorated rooms, excellent restaurant and pleasant swimming pool.
This small palace belonged to the Gohil dynasty, the last owner being the maharaja Krishna Kumar Singh, an art lover, who was the first ruler to leave his empire to join India at the time of independence in 1947. Built in 1859 by a German architect, the façade exudes austerity. Once inside, the rooms are decorated with a strong taste for antique furniture and a slight flashiness. The hotel has an excellent restaurant and a pleasant swimming pool open to non-residents for a fee.
