This superb temple is dedicated to Rukmini, the wife of Krishna. The present structure dates back to the 19th century, but the temple is said to date back to the 12th century, and even more than 2500 years according to the legend. The exterior is adorned with rich carvings finely chiseled into the stone. The shrine houses a magnificent marble statue of Devi Rukmini, with four arms each holding a different symbolic object. At the entrance to the temple, hundreds of sadhus give alms, and if a pilgrim gives them this offering, the voices rise along with the hands to thank for the gift.
