BEYT ISLAND
Go there and contact
Island home to a giant Krishna statue, the Beyt Temple, other temples such as those dedicated to Vishnu and Shiva, and a mosque.
A ferry connects Okha, 33 km north of Dwarka, to the small island of Beyt in 25 minutes. On the island one can admire a giant statue of Krishna. Numerous stalls line the path leading to the Beyt Temple, which is supposed to be the place where Krishna resided upon his arrival. Other temples are dedicated to Vishnu, Hanuman, Shiva, Lakshmi Narayan... It is also possible to explore the island, its mosque - a large Muslim community lives there - and its deserted beaches. It is better to go there in the morning to be sure to have a ferry to return to Okha.
