This former lodge of the royal family of Wankaner was built in 1920. Converted into a luxury hotel in 1970, it was the first of its kind in Gujarat. Other maharajas, anxious to preserve their heritage, have since followed suit. The interior has been very well preserved and the Art Deco furniture is period. But the absolute must is without a doubt the indoor pool, with its marble columns and naiad ready to dive. Lovers of tranquility will appreciate this unique place, far from any modern contingency.
