HAVA MAHAL
Palace in the middle of a lake, unfinished project of the last king, inviting to a nice stroll, the sati cemetery and the temple to see.
The Hava Mahal, a palace in the middle of a lake, a project of the last king (19th century), remains unfinished... And the dried lake is unfortunately used as a dumping ground. Finally, the sati cemetery (women who immolate themselves by fire rather than sacrificing themselves to the enemy clan), symbol of a past tradition, surrounds a 500 year old temple. It's a pity that the site is little maintained by the government because the architecture of the place is really unique. The walk is wonderful and really worth the trip: change of scenery guaranteed, far from the tourist circuits!
