PHOOL BAGH
Visit the garden with the memorial dedicated to Hardaul, son of Bir Singh Deo and formerly the royal residence
Close to the Rama Raja temple, you can take a break at the Phool Bagh. This garden contains a memorial dedicated to Hardaul, the son of Bir Singh Deo, who committed suicide to prove his innocence to his elder brother who accused him of adultery. But before this martyrdom, the garden was used as a summer residence by the Bundela kings who had built an underground pavilion cooled by an ingenious ventilation system. The alley between Phool Bagh and the Palki Mahal, a faded palace that cannot be visited, is nowadays annexed by merchants.
