National park to visit for the 25 cats in a 567 km² territory and the refuge of chitals, chinkaras, nilgaut antelopes...
The tigers had totally disappeared from this national park. Following the reintroduction of the animal and the birth of cubs, the park is reviving. It now has 25 cats that share a territory of 567 square kilometers. If the chances of seeing the tiger are lower than in other Madhya Pradesh parks, they are real. The park is also home to chitals (axis deer), chinkaras (gazelles), nilgaut antelopes, sambars and lippus bears. The park can be visited on a half-day excursion from Khajuraho.
