CITY NORTH
A must-see for the Madan Kui seraglio, Gadah Shah's store and the Andheri Baoli, carved out of 5 storeys of vaulted galleries
Seraglio of Madan Kui. This pink seraglio would date from the 15th century. The rooms which were used for the rest of the travelers are in very good condition.
Gadah Shah's storehouse. This huge warehouse says a lot about the probable wealth of Gadah Shah. He used to sell saffron and musk which he imported and sold at a high price to rich merchants passing through.
Andheri Bâoli. This is a typical example of the staircase wells of North India, with five levels of vaulted galleries. The inhabitants of Mandu like to come and stroll here and enjoy the shade of the tower that dominates it.
