TAKHAT SRI HARIMANDIR JI PATNA SAHIB
One of the Sikh community's sacred places of pilgrimage, with Sikh manuscripts and Gobind Singh's personal effects.
The old city of Patna, located about ten kilometers to the east, is well worth a walk: one can enter a gurdwara (Sikh temple), the Sri Harimandir Ji, built at the place where Gobind Singh, the tenth and last Sikh guru, was born. This beautiful white marble building is one of the most sacred places of pilgrimage of the Sikh community. Inside, precious Sikh manuscripts are kept, as well as Gobind Singh's personal effects.
