GANDHI MUSEUM
Museum dedicated to Gandhi, featuring a collection of photos and writings related to his life and the importance of his Satyagraha movement.
This museum dedicated to Gandhi presents a beautiful collection of photos and writings related to the life of the Mahatma and the importance of his Satyagraha ("Force of Truth") movement in Bihar. At the entrance of the museum, a panel summarizes the 119 days that Gandhi spent in Patna, from 1917 to 1947. A chakra (spinning wheel) that belonged to Gandhi reminds us of his struggle against the colonial economic policy. At that time, the manufacture of cotton fabrics was reserved to the English factories which sold them to the Indians at high prices. A museum that we recommend!
