Founded in 1784, with the aim of creating a vast database of man and nature on the Asian continent, this institution contains valuable books in Sanskrit, Arabic, Persian or Hindi. Click on request. The museum part houses Sanskrit manuscripts on Ayurvedic medicine and astronomy, some copper slabs of the 250 th century, and, above all, a stele dated BC. The few oil paintings in the old building are not worth a glance.
