TAGORE MUSEUM
A museum with a clear, concise presentation of Tagore's life and work, and a museum bookshop selling his works on site.
Located in a large park, this museum presents in a synthetic and clear way the life of Tagore and his work. It is easy to understand how and why he decided to create the nearby university that has survived him. The visit takes between 30 minutes and an hour. You have to leave your shoes at the entrance and go up one floor to access the museum itself. It's amazing to take off your shoes like at the entrance of a temple, but remember that Tagore is a demigod for many Bengalis! The museum bookstore sells works of the poet in English.
