SACRÉ-CŒUR CHURCH
Gothic-style church designed by French architect Jacques Duchatz, reflecting the region's French colonial heritage.
Inaugurated in 1884, this church, designed by the French architect Jacques Duchatz, is a beautiful Gothic style building with a harmonious architecture. It is a fine example of the French colonial heritage in the region. The church is often closed, but the gardeners who maintain the small park have the key. That said, the interior is not extraordinary. The place is however well preserved and deserves a quick visit during a walk along the Strand. Not far from there, on Covent Road, you can have a look at St. Joseph's Convent.
