Museum with Neolithic bone and carved stone tools, terracotta pottery from Bankura and paintings on wood.
Quite heterogeneous, it is well worth a visit of one hour. You will discover Neolithic tools made of bone and carved stone, the famousterracotta pottery of Bankura, and an astonishing set of round painted cards (the ganijifa), another specialty of Bishnupur. Upstairs, the twenty small 17th-century woodblock paintings are exquisite. Depicting scenes of daily life at the time, they were used as covers for manuscripts. Photos, musical instruments and paintings complete the collection.
