MAHAKAL TEMPLE
Brightly colored temple, a place of worship for Hindus and Buddhists, whose main temple is dedicated to Shiva.
To get there, take the path to the right of the giant screen in Chowrasta. This colorful site has the particularity to be a place of worship for both Hindus and Buddhists. The main temple is dedicated to Shiva and the small temples around are dedicated to Kali, Ganesh and Hanuman. Hundreds of Tibetan prayer flags float around the site, under the scent of incense, punctuated by the sound of bells, giving the site a magical atmosphere. Beware of the monkeys that cohabit with the pilgrims, they can be aggressive.
