Located about thirty kilometers east of Kalimpong, the Neora Valley National Park, established in 1986, shines with its rich biodiversity and lush flora. Listed as a Unesco heritage site, it covers 88 km2 of the valley up to an altitude of 3,200 meters. It is linked to two national parks of Bhutan via the forest. Among the animals that can be present are the red panda, the leopard, the Himalayan black bear, the king cobra or the giant squirrel.
