ST JOHN'S COLLEGE
Private university attached to the University of Agra, where the children of good society and certain colonists were sent
If you don't have time to go to Fatehpur Sikri, which between us would be a real shame, here is a building that was inspired by its architecture. It has the same pink sandstone and the slender chhatris crowning the roof. Built by Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob, on the initiative of the Missionary Society, it dates from the beginning of 1850. It is a private university attached to the University of Agra. For a long time, it depended on the University of Calcutta, which was then the capital of India. All the good Indian society and some colonists sent their children there.
