This vast residence belongs to a local aristocratic family. We feel at the outset an art of living disappearing. The furniture is then (that of the grandfather, or even more) and nothing would be less surprising than seeing an English lady in light dress and white gloves at tea time. Beautiful woodwork in the huge rooms that all give on the garden. The house is, as you understood, "in its juice" but perfectly maintained. A charming stopover.
