This 10th century temple dedicated to the monkey god Hanuman is one of the most important in the city. The tradition wants that the faithful visit this sanctuary first before paying homage to Râma at Nageshwar Nath Mandir, which would have been built by Kush, the son of Râma! The monkey-god is said to have lived in a cave at this very spot. The idol represents Hanuman on the lap of his mother Anjani. Devotees believe that a visit to this temple would grant wishes.
