DHAMEK STUPA
Imposing bell-shaped stupa in a large, well-kept park, marking the place where Buddha delivered his 1st sermon
Located in a large, well-kept park, this imposing 35-meter high bell-shaped stupa is of great historical significance. It marks the place where Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. In the same park you will find the remains of Ashoka's column and some monastery ruins. If your budget is too tight, we advise you to prefer the Archaeological Museum. You will be able to see the Dhamek Stupa from the Jain temple located a few meters to the left of the exit.
