The architectural work of Le Corbusier. This huge building houses the offices of the Punjab and Haryana administration. It is composed of three buildings: the secretariat, the legislative assembly and the court. There was a plan to build afourth building (which would house a cultural museum), but the project has not yet been completed. The spirit of the famous architect still floats inside these buildings made of reinforced raw concrete. The large metal Open Hand Monument symbolizes unity and peace. The hand is open to give and to receive.
