DURGIANA TEMPLE
Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Durga and forming a small relic of the Golden Temple, with its golden sanctuary bordered by a lake
This Hindu temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga, the most revered deity in Punjab. It forms a small replica of the Golden Temple, with its golden shrine surrounded by a lake. The place also houses idols of Lakshmi and Vishnu. It is a place of worship whose origins date back to the 16th century, rebuilt in 1921 and then completely renovated in 2015. It is nicknamed the Silver Temple for its beautiful chased silver doors. We advise you to visit it at the time of the bhajan (religious chants) from 7:30 to 9:30 am, then from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
