The site features a gold dome and a tomb built in tribute to 2 martyred children who were buried alive and suffocated to death
The main gurdwara, with its gold dome, was built as a tribute to the two martyred children, Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh, of the 10th Guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singh. Wazir Khan wanted to convert them to Islam, but they refused. Both were buried alive and died of suffocation. You'll also see the tomb of their grandmother, Burj of Mata Gujri, who was unable to survive the tragedy. The barbaric act took place in the Jyoti Swarup gurdwara. In December, the Sikh community pays tribute to these martyred children on the occasion of the Shaheedi Jor Mela.
