REWALSAR LAKE
Lake perched at an altitude of 1,360 m, a sacred place of pilgrimage for Hindus, Buddhists and Sikhs, temples to see.
Rewalsar Lake, also called Tso Pema, is located 25 km southwest of Mandi and perched at an altitude of 1,360 meters. This lake is a sacred place of pilgrimage not only for the Hindus (the sage Rishi Lomas did penance there in the honor of Shiva), but also for the Buddhists (the lake would have been created by Padmasambhava in the 8th century), as well as for the Sikhs (Guru Gobind Singh, the 10th Guru, would have come there in the 18th century). You will thus see temples, gompas and gurdwaras. The road which climbs towards the lake is very beautiful.
