Stone temple in downtown Mandi dedicated to Shiva with the shivalinga in the center, the Shivaratri festival on site in March.
This beautiful stone temple would have been erected in 1527, it is dedicated to Shiva and is located in the center of the city. Besides the shivalinga in the center of the shrine, one can also admire idols of Vishnu, Durga and Hanuman. In March, the festival of Shivaratri takes place here. For a week, the crowd cheers and worships hundreds of deities who are carried on decorated palaquins. Further on one reaches the Trilokinath temple with its statue of Shiva with three heads, then the Panchavaktra temple where Shiva is represented here with five heads.
