Founded in 1983, LEDEG is known for its work in the field of renewable energy, environment, organic farming and education, among others. The organization is based in Leh, but two other offices are located in Kargil and Padum. On site, an exhibition presents the benefits of Ladakhi cuisine, another is dedicated to renewable energy. A store sells handicrafts. The LEDEG also has an ecological hotel located below the Shanti Stupa. You can join the group as a volunteer.
