The city's rail system has three main lines: the Western Line, the Harbour Line and the Central Line share service to the various stations from the south to the north of the city. The Western Line runs from Churchgate Station in the south of the city up to Dahanu on the west side. It is the most convenient and pleasant line to visit the city. The Central Line leaves from CST station, runs along the east side, and goes up to Khopoli. The Harbour Line serves the east side of the city, also leaving from the CST station and going up to Panvel.
