A range of sites of interest to see, including the Prince of Wales Museum, the Majestic Hotel, Mercantile Mansions, Café Royal, etc.
Start your walk at the Prince Of Wales Museum (C.S.T. Museum). Opposite, the Majestic Hotel and, on your right, a large Victorian building, the Mercantile Mansions and its famous flagship, the Café Royal. On your left, the magnificent Regal cinema, which inaugurated the Art Deco style in India. Then take C. Shivaji Maharaj Marg towards the Gateway Of India, followed by a visit to the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. Take a stroll through the shady streets behind this luxury hotel to admire the Victorian architecture. Continue along the coast on Strand Road, then turn right onto Apollo Bandar Road. Returning to the small Strand Road on your left, you'll come across a picturesque market. Back on Caulaba Causeway (Shahid Bhagat Singh Marg) towards S.P. Mukherjee Chowk. This is Colaba's main street, and undoubtedly Mumbai's most touristy. Here you'll find brand-name boutiques, street vendors selling handicrafts, and small cafés where it's good to take a cool break.
Up the commercial artery, you'll find the Wesley Methodist Church on the corner of BEST Marg, for Bombay Electric Supplying and Tramways Company, another Art Deco-style building that was the first factory to produce electricity. Turning right onto Wodehouse Road, you can admire the Romanesque Holy Name Cathedral, seat of the Archdiocese of Bombay. Back to the Prince Of Wales Museum.
