Bandra's Roman Catholic church, built in the century, stands on a hill overlooking the Arabian Sea at an altitude of 80 m
The Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Bandra, more commonly known as Mount Mary Church, is a Roman Catholic church located in Bandra, which was built in the 16th century. It was completely destroyed during the Maratha invasion in 1738. It was then rebuilt and destroyed again several times. The basilica that stands before us today is the work of the British who rebuilt it in 1904. It stands proudly on a mound overlooking the Arabian Sea, at an altitude of about 80 meters.
