RUDYARD KIPLING'S HOUSE
House featuring an original bungalow rebuilt in the same style as the original, with a colonial style all in Burmese teak and a pale green color
The British author of The Jungle Book and Tu seras un homme mon fils, among other works, was born here on December 30, 1865. The original bungalow was rebuilt identically in 1882, with its colonial style, all Burmese teak and painted in a pretty pale green color located on the campus of the J. J. School of Applied Art. The villa is currently being renovated, but nowhere is there any mention of the writer, a controversial figure in India. A bust and a commemorative plaque recounting his biography will have to do.
