It is located in the center of the city and is dedicated to Mahalaxmi, the goddess of fortune, prosperity and abundance, and wife of Vishnu. The statue of the deity is made of black stone, has four arms and is enthroned in the middle of the temple. Built in 1818, this building is the first Hindu temple built in Goa since the arrival of the Portuguese three centuries earlier. It was completely renovated in the mid-1980s. To discover.
