MENEZES BRAGANZA INSTITUTE
Beautiful earlyresidence featuring magnificent azulejos in the entrance hall, testimony to Portuguese influence
This beautiful house from the beginning of the 20th century has in its entrance hall beautiful tiles that show the Portuguese influence. The Institute dates back to 1871 and aims to promote Goanese culture. Its takeover in 1997 by the Indian government has greatly worried the local population, anxious to preserve its cultural difference within the Union. The building cannot be visited, but the access to the hall is free. It was renovated in 2013.
