GOA STATE MUSEUM
Museum located in Patto on the other side of the small Ourem river, retracing the history of Goa with statues, old photos, etc.
This museum, previously located in Patto across the small river Ourem, has recently moved near the Panjim jetty. It traces the history of Goa with statues, old photos, antiques, furniture and a permanent exhibition on the liberators of the state. You will also find Hindu, Jain and Christian sculptures on display. The highlight is a wooden pulpit mounted on wheels. The ensemble is rather heterogeneous but allows to learn a little more about the long Portuguese occupation.
