FORT TIRACOL HERITAGE HOTEL
Fort housing a luxury establishment with tastefully decorated rooms and suites, an excellent restaurant, etc.
Fort Tiracol stands on the north bank of the estuary of the river of the same name. Built in the 17th century, it was the keystone of the northern state's defenses. The St Andrew's Church inside is typical of Goan architecture. Beautifully restored, the fort is now home to a luxury hotel. The rooms and suites are carefully decorated in keeping with Portuguese architecture. Excellent restaurant with a subtle blend of Portuguese, Mediterranean and Indian influences. Reserve well in advance.
