The small train museum, established in 1979, will only excite railroad enthusiasts. It is located right next to the Mysuru Junction station. You can see two royal carriages that belonged to the maharajah of Mysore, which gives an idea of the splendor in which he traveled. The Maharani's Saloon is a wagon dating from 1899, with a kitchen, a lounge and a "royal" toilet. Old steam locomotives are also on display and it is possible to take a ride on one of them, when it is running.
