SALAR JUNG MUSEUM
Huge museum housing furniture, clocks, paintings, toys, manuscripts, sculptures, crockery and more.
Opened in 1951, this huge museum houses an impressive jumble of furniture, clocks, paintings, sculptures, toys, manuscripts, tableware and much more. This large semi-circular building houses 38 galleries on two floors. Not all the rooms are equal, but don't miss the Jade Room, which features priceless artifacts that belonged to former Indian rulers like Aurangzeb and Sultan Tipu. Come early, as the museum is very popular with Indians on vacation or school groups during the year.
