The archaeological museum essentially presents Buddhist objects. The antiquities found during archaeological excavations around Amaravati belong to a period between the th century BC and the th century. The whole is made of engraved stone panels and coffins containing some relics, railings and sculptures. The centerpiece, a standing Buddha dating from the th century, is exhibited in the first gallery.
