Palace built in the century, during the reign of the Travancore monarch, and home to the largest mural painting in the region

Built in the 18th century, during the reign of Travancore monarch Marthanda Varma, the palace is a two-storey structure with typical Kerala architectural features, including gabled roofs, dormer windows and narrow corridors. The palace is home to Kerala's largest mural, the Gajendra Moksham. Measuring 4.25 m by 3.34 m, it depicts Vishnu blessing the king of elephants and a crocodile. The museum exhibits sculptures, paintings, bronzes and an interesting collection of coins.

Ancien palais avec des fresques remarquables.
Une toiture et une charpente en bois à voir.
Le tout situé dans un cadre calme avec une partie du lac mitoyen où se reflete le bâtiment
