DHARMANATH JAIN TEMPLE
Beautiful temple tiled with white marble and featuring attractive sculpted pillars and several statues, built in the early century
Jain merchants from Gujarat used to come to Cochin, Calicut and Alleppey to trade. Built in the early 20th century, this Jain temple is dedicated to Shri Dharmanath, the 15th Jain Tirthankar. This beautiful temple is tiled with white marble and has beautiful carved pillars and several statues. It is accessible to visitors but you will have to wear long pants, have covered shoulders and not wear leather. The particularity of this place is the possibility to feed the pigeons which will come to help themselves directly in your hand!
