ADAM'S BRIDGE
A bridge made of a succession of rocks and sandbanks that once linked India to Sri Lanka, a must-see for its magnificent scenery
According to the Ramayana, Sri Rama built a bridge to Sri Lanka, with the help of Hanuman, to go and free Sita. It is in fact a succession of rocks and sandbanks, which once linked India to Sri Lanka. This bridge is called Ram Setu, Rama's Bridge or Adam's Bridge. One can contemplate on one side the calm waters of the Bay of Bengal, on the other the waves of the Indian Ocean. The landscape is grandiose. Many pilgrims come here for a specific puja . Don't miss to visit the ghost town of Dhanushkodi on the way.
