On the north side of the Plaza de Armas. The first building built on this ground was a prison and, starting in 1578, the city hall. After many vicissitudes, it was replaced by the current building, inaugurated in 1895. The coat of arms of the visible city on the pediment of the building was offered by Charles Quint in 1522.
