PALACIO COUSIÑO
Palace of a wealthy family built in 1870 by a French architect, with furniture of French and Italian origin.
A French architect, Paul Lathoud, built the palace in the 1870s for a wealthy family, the Cousiños. This wealthy family owned the coal mines of Lota, near Concepción, and the silver mines of Chañacillo. The interior of the building is sumptuous, and the furniture is of French and Italian origin. The first elevator of the country worked there. This street also has other interesting facades and has been declared a Typical Zone. An interesting visit and a place full of history!
